All-New 2020 Nissan Sentra Debuts. Here’s What’s New
The Nissan Sentra has carried the same stylish look since 2013, but that will all change with the 2020 model year, as Nissan will launch a new, sexier Sentra. Here’s what you can expect when the 2020 Sentra arrives for our Bradenton area car shoppers.
All-New, Maxima-Inspired Design
The 2020 Nissan Sentra will roll into the Nissan of Bradenton showroom serving the Tampa and St. Petersburg area with an all-new look that includes tons of cues gleaned from the premium-looking Maxima. These cues will include a bolder V-motion grille, thin LED headlights, wide taillights, and a floating roof.
At the corners, the 2020 Sentra will sit atop all-new wheels, while the body will feature three striking two-tone color options.
Striking and Luxurious Cabin
A new exterior is not all the 2020 Nissan Sentra will include. It will also gain an all-new cabin that’ll push the Sentra to a new level of luxury uncommon in this class.
The updates will include a new flat-bottom steering wheel, a swoopy dash, rounded air vents, a dash-top touchscreen, and updated knobs and switches.
In higher trims, the 2020 Nissan Sentra will move even further into a more luxurious space with its available zero-gravity front seats, quilted-leather seating, heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, an 8-inch multi-touchscreen, and NissanConnect® with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
Under its hood, the 2020 Nissan Sentra will boast a new standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will deliver 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, which gives it 20% more horsepower and 16% more torque than the outgoing 1.8-liter engine.
Nissan also promises improved fuel efficiency and enhanced performance with its new independent rear suspension and electric power steering.
There is no mention of a continuation of the turbocharged engine in the current Sentra. We may learn more about that in the future.
All-New Standard Safety Equipment
The current Sentra includes standard automatic emergency braking in models with the continuously variable transmission, but other advanced safety bits, including blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert, are optional.
The 2020 Sentra will come standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic rear braking, and high-beam assist. Other optional safety gear will include rear door alert, intelligent forward-collision warning, and intelligent driver alertness.
The 2020 Nissan Sentra will be available here at Nissan of Bradenton, serving Bradenton, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, and surrounding areas, in late-January 2020. Can’t wait that long?
