More Accessible Safety Features Headline 2020 Nissan Altima Updates
The Nissan Altima went through a comprehensive redesign just a year ago for the 2019 model year, and the 2020 Altima models are hitting showrooms with a few updates. Continue reading for 2020 Nissan Altima pricing and updates.
Visually, the 2020 Nissan Altima will be identical to the 2019 Altima inside and out, but it will get a few tech and safety updates. Kicking off the updates is standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 on the SR trim. This suite of safety goodies adds rear automatic emergency braking, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights.
Nissan will also create a new Driver Assist Package for the base S trim level that includes the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of safety equipment. Other updates will include a memory mirror function on the Platinum trim and Piano Black finishers in the SV, SL, and Platinum trims.
Otherwise, the 2020 Nissan Altima will remain the same, including its standard 2.5-liter engine with 188 horsepower and available all-wheel drive. The optional engine will remain a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 248 horsepower. Both engines will pair with a next-generation Xtronic continuously variable transmission.
