Since 2013, Nissan has offered a compact cargo-hauling option in the NV200 Compact Cargo Van. This small-footprint van gives companies and individuals a cargo-friendly van with the drivability of a smaller sedan or crossover and above-average fuel economy. The 2019 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van just hit our showroom, and we have all the details on it below.
The 2019 NV200 Compact Cargo Van is available in two trims: S and SV. The S trim is the base version, and it starts from $22,200. For this scratch, the 2019 NV200 Compact Cargo S comes standard with all it needs to get work done, including a three-spoke urethane steering wheel with audio controls, cloth seats with vinyl wear patches, door pockets, six-way manual-adjust driver’s seat, four-way manual-adjust passenger’s seat, Thermoplastic PolyOlefin cargo floor covering, an AM/FM/CD audio system with two speakers, a 5-inch color display, Bluetooth phone connectivity and streaming audio, hands-free texting, power windows and door locks, and more.
Moving up to the SV trim pushes the price to $23,200. This trim builds upon the S trim by adding cruise control with steering-wheel-mounted controls, six floor-mounted cargo tie-downs, hubcaps, body-color mirrors and bumpers, a chrome grille, keyless entry, and a rear 12-volt power outlet.
The SV trim also opens the NV200 Compact Cargo Van to a few additional options. These include SiriusXM and the NissanConnect infotainment system with a 5.8-inch touchscreen, navigation, voice recognition, and more.
Other options available on both trim levels include:
- Sliding door glass
- Rear door windows with tinted glass
- Radio data system
- MP3 playback
- Rear defroster
- Rearview mirror
- Rear parking sensors
The 2019 NV200 Compact Cargo Van comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 131 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission that delivers power to the front wheels. This powertrain delivers up to 24 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.
This compact cargo van’s rear measures 82.8 inches long, 54.8 inches wide, and 53 inches high. Between the wheel wells, it is 48 inches wide, so you can fit a standard pallet between them. This cargo area can carry up to 122.7 cubic feet of cargo that weighs up to 1,502 pounds (S trim).
