Is The All-New Pathfinder Nissan’s New Premium?

The short answer? Yes. The long answer? Keep reading.

Nissan came up big with this fifth generation redesign. The 2022 Pathfinder’s frame is bold and ready with a subtle nod to the Pathfinders that came before it.

Even though it tips its hat towards the Pathfinders of the past, it has its sights set on the future. Its thin running lamps flow into the LED headlights to create that new-age C-shape that frames the signature Nissan V-motion grille.

Its wide stance is maintained to the rear, where you’ll find a boxy liftgate and a pair of sleek taillights that wrap around its haunches.

The all-new Pathfinder tops things off with oversized lettering that lets you know exactly what it is.

Burly Exterior Meets Borderline Boujee Interior

Clad in leather, screens, and more room than ever, the Nissan Pathfinder’s cabin brings class and comfort to all three rows. Standard seating arrangements offer room for eight passengers, but you can opt for more comfort in the second row by adding captain’s chairs that come with a removable center console.

Whether you choose a bench or captain’s chairs, second-row occupants enjoy their very own climate controls.

For those entering the third row, the Pathfinder comes standard with one-touch sliding seats that make climbing back there less of a chore and more of an adventure.

Regardless of what row you choose, the all-new Pathfinder offers 16.6 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row. That’s enough for four golf bags or six suitcases.

Storage space jumps to 45 cubic feet with the third row folded and 80.5 cubic feet when all rows are down, leaving enough room for sheets of plywood, even more golf bags, or just the dogs.

Plus, the Pathfinder helps you make the most of every inch with a 54.1-liter in-floor storage bin that gives you a place for muddy hiking gear, sandy beach towels, or roadside emergency tools.

At the Helm

Now the cockpit. The place where you control all 284 horses and 259 pound-feet of torque generated by the 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Together with the favored nine-speed transmission and seven standard drive modes, the Nissan Pathfinder is ready to work. Opt for a four-wheel drive trim and tack on a terrain mode selector to manage all your weekend adventuring.

For those adventures that require a few toys, the Pathfinder offers a class-leading 6,000-pound max towing capacity.

The cockpit itself is refined and ready for whatever you need.

The Pathfinder comes standard with an 8-inch touch screen and 7-inch digital panel, but you can upgrade to a 9-inch screen and a completely digital 12.3-inch dash with a 10.8-inch head-up display.

An electric gear selector and drive mode knob offer comfortable operation and added cargo space up front, giving you and your copilot a true first-class feel.
